Ces informations ont permis de réaliser les 30 fiches de synthèse de l’atlas (une fiche par plage). Elles se composent d’un commentaire synthétisant les principales informations pour chaque plage et d’une représentation cartographique. Des informations complémentaires sont également fournies à partir des fiches de terrains (espèces végétales). Title A name given to the resource Proposition d’une méthodologie pour la cartographie du blanchissement corallien à grande échelle sur le récif de l’île de La Réunion Description An account of the resource Les récifs coralliens, en dépit de leur importance économique, sociale et culturelle, font partie des écosystèmes marins les plus vulnérables aux dégradations naturelles et anthropiques. Ils subissent fréquemment des périodes de blanchissement qui se traduisent par une perte de pigmentation du corail, lequel devient blanc. Ce signal, qui annonce une perte de biodiversité, est détecté par la télédétection. A l’Ile de la Réunion, de nombreuses études ont déjà été menées sur ses structures récifales jeunes, notamment à partir d’imagerie satellitaire. Seulement ces capteurs ont, d’une part, une résolution spatiale peu en adéquation avec la taille et l’hétérogénéité des entités à détecter et, d’autre part, ne sont pas réactifs. C'est pourquoi nous avons choisi de mettre en oeuvre une méthodologie pour cartographier le blanchissement corallien qui intègre des prises de vue effectuées d’ULM. Celles-ci permettent une acquisition ciblée dans le temps et l’espace et offrent une restitution d’image à une résolution très fine. Cette réflexion méthodologique repose sur trois étapes principales : la production d’images orthorectifiées à Très Haute Résolution Spatiale (THRS) en zone immergée, l'extraction d'objets géographiques pertinents par classification orientée-objet et la cartographie des résultats.
